So- why am I doing this? First- a little about what I do.
- First - Consulting. Don't get me wrong, I love it. It's how I spend most of my time. But what I'm finding is people often need is a guide longer term. When I'm consulting- there's a limited timeframe, an SOW that limits what I can do and the timeframe I can do it. I try to give as much knowledge as I can when I'm in an engagement with someone and feedback I've gotten has been very positive- customers tell me they learn a TON even in a short one week project.
- Next- there is a lot of Content out there- Blogs from experts all over the world... including my own... but most are usually based on solving a specific problem, not really learning new skills. By their nature there is no sense of accountability or guided learning.
- So then there are Courses- and though I'm going to be opening courses soon myself, but most are more like boot camps. They are great for learning new skills... but when the course is over, you're still on your own to grow your career. The other problem? Many of them are targeting only certification, not really a long term learning strategy.
- I'm starting a membership site and a Community at CTXPro.com that I am really excited about. The idea here is put a bunch of people together in an exclusive space and explore the ever-changing Citrix technology world. We all learn new things together... and I do live support calls every month... but this is more for slow growth and self-paced learning along a path of success.
